Washington, D.C, July 11, 2024—The 10th National Eucharistic Congress is a once-in-a-lifetime gathering designed to renew the Catholic Church in the United States by bringing forth an encounter with the living Lord Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. From the event’s inception at the USCCB Fall General Assembly in 2021 that spurred plans for a multi-year initiative of Eucharistic revival, a movement of the faithful was ignited to formally share in a celebration of the gift of Christ’s love in the Eucharist. As registered attendees from all over the world prepare to travel to Indianapolis, IN for the five-day event running July 17-21, event organizers look to the year ahead with hope while reflecting on the fruits of the past two years.
“On behalf of the executive team for the National Eucharistic Congress, there is a lot of energy and excitement to finally be on the precipice of this moment that we’ve been building up to for so long,” beams Tim Glemkowski, Chief Executive Officer of the National Eucharistic Congress, Inc. “God’s grace has been abundant up to this point, and it’s humbling to pause and consider the fruits of the Revival.”
Bishop Andrew Cozzens, Chair of the National Eucharistic Revival, echoed praise for the remarkable ministry efforts of the Revival while also affirming the leadership of Tim Glemkowski, whose tenure as CEO of the National Eucharistic Congress, Inc. will conclude on August 14. “We owe a debt of gratitude to Tim for his strategic vision in mobilizing a movement of this scale, and yet, we are not done,” said Cozzens.
The National Eucharistic Congress is a launch point marking the Year of Mission and a new chapter in the future of the Revival. More than 50,000 on-fire Catholics will gather in Indianapolis next week for five powerful days of worship, encounter, and formation and will depart renewed, inspired, and equipped for mission. “This moment is part of a much bigger movement within our Church,” said Jason Shanks, who will be leading the National Eucharistic Congress, Inc. into the future beginning in August. “The mission of this Revival will not be complete until every Catholic has a deep personal relationship with our Eucharistic Lord.”
A live stream of the main events taking place in Lucas Oil Stadium, including daily Mass, the Encounter Impact Session, and each day’s evening Revival session will be made available on the NEC website for those unable to attend the National Eucharistic Congress in person. Additionally, Founding Partners EWTN will be offering television and livestream coverage with Relevant Radio providing live radio broadcast coverage.

The mission of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops is “to support the ministry of bishops with an emphasis on evangelization, by which the bishops exercise in a communal and collegial manner certain pastoral functions entrusted to them by the Lord Jesus of sanctifying, teaching, and governing (Lumen gentium, no. 21).” The National Eucharistic Congress, Inc., which has been established to carry out the Indianapolis event, is a separate organization working in coordination with the USCCB. Bishop Andrew H. Cozzens is the eighth bishop of the Diocese of Crookston, MN, and serves as the Chairman for the Board of Directors for the National Eucharistic Congress, Inc.
