Here, you can find brief articles to aid you as you walk with one. These articles offer practical advice and are written by some of those most trusted and impactful apostolates in the Church today. Please enjoy, and thank you for all your hard work building the Kingdom!
These articles are more introductory articles for accompanying someone. They help us understand the need to be “taken” by encountering the Lord. They also offer practical support for inviting someone into a relationship and for eventually sharing the Gospel with someone.
These articles encourage you in your own spiritual journey. We can only give what we have first received. In order to bless others, we have to nourish the blessing of a personal relationship with God. Therefore, as we spiritually accompany someone, it’s critical that we first fill ourselves with the Lord!
These articles are more community-centric. As human beings, we are communal beings. Our lives are ironically most full when we are “broken” for others. In Matthew 10:39, Jesus promised us “Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” We experience this most fully in the Mass, but we also experience this in the communities we build.
These articles offer important advice for going deeper with the person you’re walking with. As we spiritually accompany another person, we are ultimately trying to build them up to go and do likewise with someone else. In giving our time and love to someone else, we are trying to empower them to give their time and love to others in return.
